Washington Vacation

We had a busy June. After our road trip to Boise, the next week we took our 1st plane ride with Westin to Washington, for a family vacation. We went to Seaside, OR for a couple of days and we made it without any problems and no one got hurt. It was a pretty fun trip with the Kanooth family and it was sad to go. We wish we could be closer to all our family.

Westin was super excited about his first plane ride and by my facial expression so was I.

Somehow we got all 10 grandkids to stay sat down for this photo with Grandpa & Grandma Kanooth

Is there a cuter baby than this?

I know parents are usually biased about their kids,
but I have to say that I have yet to meet
a kid cuter than this one.

Road Trip!

We must have been crazy or just not thinking, but Kierstin, Westin & myself along with my sister and her two boys left from Sacramento last Thursday @ 2pm for an adventurous road trip to the land of potatoes (Boise, ID). To my surprise we did ok. Izzy laptop died within the first 30 minutes so he was a little bored until we got to Reno. Luckily Whit bought a charge for the laptop in Reno and it was smooth sailing from there (Well, at least for Izzy), until we got pass McDermit, OR I was on baby duty while Whit was driving, Kierstin was navigating, Izzy was busy on his laptop and checking on Aidan periodically and all the suddenly...an explosion! Aidan having been fed in Winnamucca a good healthy meal of oatmeal and whatever else Whit mixes in, he was getting fussy so we decided to give him a bottle of formula, I don't think the two mixed well because he made sure we all knew by throwing up it all over himself and to add fuel to the fire he had a nice ripe diaper also. Sparing you the gross detail it wasn't the most pleasant of time cleaning him up and changing him. Other than that we had a great trip. Westin was surprisingly well behaved and slept more than he ever has during the trip. Oh yeah we didn't get to Boise until 12am. 10 hours of driving time flies when you're having fun. :o)

GG (Grandma Gail) got to meet Westin for the first time and spend some good quality time with Aidan and Izzy

The G-Rents are still holding on strong. Grandma Sallie did great holding Lil' Wes (who fell asleep in her lap) & Grandpa Les still moving around keeping busy.

Our house is a very very very fine house...

After living in our house for almost a year,
we finally got out front to take a picture. I guess
we are living the American dream, a house, a cute kid
& a cat. No white picket fence though, but life is good.
