Bedhead, Costumes, Others, and Seriously Good Soup

This is Wes's chicken noodle soup. It is some delicious chicken noodle soup. Nothing too crazy, just really good soup. My contribution to this soup...I clipped the parsley from the garden!

Jade likes to pull herself up on things. Last week she stood alone for about 30 seconds a couple times. She was pretty docile tonight at the pumpkin farm, because she's been running a temp. on and off. No other symptoms. She might be teething.

Westin loves the tractors. He doesn't care much about he pumpkins, so we don't even get out of the hay ride to visit the pumpkin patch area.

Westin the cowboy...we had to bribe him with this little toy ambulance to put on the costume. Jade is in Westin's old dalmation costume, but lots of people thought she was a cow, but that does go along with Westin's costume, so yeah, that works! She even got the comment that she was Kobe beef. She is pretty special, along with the cutest cowboy!

Crawling, Pumpkin Patch

Jade has been crawling for a week or two. She is steadily getting better. If she had more time on the floor, I'm sure she'd be a pro by now, but Westin is just a little too rough with her, so has to get rescued a lot from off the floor. She will be 8 months on the 14th. She finally got 2 teeth on Sept 10th and 16th, after drooling since 2 months of age. She likes to keep us awake at night, but she is so sweet most of the time that we don't mind.

Westin, Jade and I went with some friends to Bishop's Pumpkin Farm on Tuesday. It was lots of fun as always and we will go back with Wes with us before Halloween for sure. We took a hay ride out to the pumpkin patch, but didn't get out, because it was raining for a minute. Jade enjoyed watching everything, smiling at other people and kids, and eating hay. Westin took it all in, starring at everything. It's so difficult to get pictures of him when he is in a new exciting environment, because he spends the whole time intently taking everything in. He doesn't even smile, because he is so focused on all the things he gets to do, but it's still clear that he's having lots of fun. A friend took a couple pictures for me, since she has a super nice camera. We tried to get one of Westin and Jade, but Westin couldn't take 30 seconds away from the attractions, so he got off the hay bale as soon as I put him on with Jade.

The title is the comment Westin made one day after I put a flower print romper on Jade. I don't have a picture for that moment, but some other random ones.

A lot of times Sunday dinners are spent at Grandpa Mulligan's house.

"Stay away from those boys!"

Jade eats her solids easily now and seems to have a decent appetite. We'll see if it gets her out of the 20th percentile on the growth chart. If not, who cares, she's happy.

Seaside, OR

This year we went to Seaside, OR for our Kanooth family trip. Thanks Dad for renting the house! The weather was great. We had a lot of fun, but missed not having Lairen, Leif and Rachel, and Becky and Steve and the kids there.
