WA Visit

We drove up to WA Christmas night.  I did a horrible job of taking pictures.  It as a good visit anyway.
Westin and Jade asleep.  They shared an air mattress.
Westin and Uncle Aaron...immersed in their games.

Westin and Jade with Grandpa and Grandma Kanooth.  They had just finished putting away Christmas decorations and it turned out that Dad herniated a disk while doing so.  He was quite uncomfortable in this picture and is still recovering.  Old age is rough.  Speaking of, my mom turned 60!

Tori, unhappy Jade, Sydney, Reese, Steven, and Westin.
We didn't get pictures with Ally or Kaitlyn, unfortunately, but the kids had fun seeing them while we were up there too.

deWitt Visit

We had a great time visiting with Leona, Anneke, and Marieka, as the girls were home from college for Christmas.  The kids had tons of fun playing outside with Leona.  Westin actually picked up a chicken, and I wish I would have went out to get a picture of it.  They loved playing with Anneke and Marieka too.  They kept Westin and Jade well entertained.  It was a really nice visit.

 Love watching them play together.

Cousin Visit

Westin has been missing his cousin Aidan and fortunately Aidan and Izzy got to visit for Christmas.  We had Aidan spend a night with us.  We took them to Bounce U and they were crazy as ever, laughing hysterically most of the time.  We'd wished we'd been able to spend more time with Izzy, and the only pictures we got of him turned out blurry.  I really need to give in and get a real camera.

Westin and Aidan were laughing so hard, they could hardly make it up to the slide in this picture.

Christmas at Home

Christmas was a lot of fun this year with Westin and Jade being old enough to take most of it in, and being excited for everything.  They had fun learning more about Jesus and his birth and why it's most important to celebrate Christmas.  They loved our nights of looking at Christmas lights and we loved listening to their comments.  When Wes took up bow hunting for a hobby a couple years ago, Westin picked up on it and has been big on "shooting deer" ever since.  It's kind of embarrassing having my 4 yr old talk about shooting animals, and probably alarming to other parents to hear about it, but people hunt, I'm not against it if it's done right.  Anyway, whenever Westin and Jade spotted a decorative deer on a lawn they would quickly "shoot" it.  Jade did the same thing.  Even the deer pulling Santa's sleigh received no mercy.  A little disturbing, but mostly funny.   They also loved listening to and singing Christmas music, watching the old Christmas classics, and decorating.  Christmas morning was lots of fun.  Westin sang A Holly Jolly Christmas while unwrapping his gifts, out of sheer excitement.
