Christmas at Home

Christmas was a lot of fun this year with Westin and Jade being old enough to take most of it in, and being excited for everything.  They had fun learning more about Jesus and his birth and why it's most important to celebrate Christmas.  They loved our nights of looking at Christmas lights and we loved listening to their comments.  When Wes took up bow hunting for a hobby a couple years ago, Westin picked up on it and has been big on "shooting deer" ever since.  It's kind of embarrassing having my 4 yr old talk about shooting animals, and probably alarming to other parents to hear about it, but people hunt, I'm not against it if it's done right.  Anyway, whenever Westin and Jade spotted a decorative deer on a lawn they would quickly "shoot" it.  Jade did the same thing.  Even the deer pulling Santa's sleigh received no mercy.  A little disturbing, but mostly funny.   They also loved listening to and singing Christmas music, watching the old Christmas classics, and decorating.  Christmas morning was lots of fun.  Westin sang A Holly Jolly Christmas while unwrapping his gifts, out of sheer excitement.
